Kanye West Exemplifies Religion

So, Kanye West is at it again, always trying to be the trendsetter. Did Kanye find God? Maybe, only God and Kanye know. I am skeptical of this new “craze” and the underpinnings of it’s true intentions. Maybe I’m being too hard headed.

The one thing that remains in Kanye’s new message…is Kanye. If you look closely, Kanye has branded himself all over the “Jesus is King” movie and the record of the same name.

It seems that Kanye wants the world to know, that he is now working for God.

Last I checked, God doesn’t need a co-signer. The message of God should not be conflated with any individual, to do so, is to crown yourself “prince” as God’s son.

Did God choose Kanye? I really don’t know. Although, I will say, if God choose Kanye, then why does Kanye spread the message of God, with Kanye’s brand splattered all over it?

Are we expected to worship God via Kanye?

Whenever I see Kanye on the publicity circuit, I see and hear a “refer a friend” get $100 towards your next purchase, scheme.

Like I said, I don’t know the truth, but brand names are only as powerful or rich as their consumer base.

If the message is priority, then the vehicle for that message should be free for all.

  1. I don’t know if it’s true or not. However, I think the fact that he is spreading the word is noble. No, I am not Kanye’s fan. Never was, and might never be. Not his music, not his fashion. However, I respect him for standing up for what he believes (or at least what he seems to believe). He has the platform for it. I don’t. He’s putting his name and fame into use. That’s how I see it. If he makes some non-believers think twice about God, I say go for it.
