So, I’m Done Blogging For Awhile.

I’ll still be doing podcasts. For the time being, I’ll be pulling away from writing.

Im fine Rue, it’s just that I seem to reciting the same thing over and over and over again. Personal responsibility, personal accountability etc. I can only say the same thing so many times. Nothing has gone wrong, I just realize that I have nothing new to say.

          1. I do try to listen to your podcasts. It’s just that not all of them appeal to me, and the ones that do, I don’t have the time to listen to right away.

      1. Broadcasting and interviewing others is obviously your true love over writing. For the record, you have never told me this before. I basically guessed based on your enthusiasm for interviewing others.

  1. If you want to blow up your podcasts, then good luck, and go for it.
If something annoyed you regarding blogging – get over it.
If it’s life – I hope it settles soon.

No, nothing like that Goldie. I just realize that I am quite redundant and I can’t say the same thing over and over and over again. Maybe I’ll return and maybe I won’t. Who knows?

  2. I think perhaps a better choice for you Poddy, judging from our conversations in the past – you have more drive and motivation for that, and as l think someone else has commented above – you are still blogging, but you are Podding rather than writing, and as it’s content added to your blog – you are still active.

  3. I had noticed a lack of blogs. You’re doing this for your own enjoyment, right? Or were you attempting to monetize? Just curious as I was looking into that.

No, not worried about monetizing. I do enjoy it, but I think I’m getting rather redundant with my message.

  4. I read what you said in answer to rue202’s Q, and I thought I’d give my 2 bits.

I’ve been at this for years, and have taken breaks from posting because I was bored of hearing myself go on and on about whatever I was going on about.

It’s good to pause when you need to pause. It can be refreshing to do it.

If you try to push yourself to blog when you don’t feel like it, it’ll make blogging a burden, and you may end up blogiciding which would be a pity because you’ve got a great blog.

If you want to write, what about doing transcripts of the podcasts. Not necessarily the whole podcast, but sharing excerpts in a post, thus you promote the podcasts and give those bloggers who like things in writing a glimpse of what goes on in the talking. Pick the bits of the conversation which mean something to you and make you want to share it, and perhaps chat more about it.

I really like that idea actually Ursula. That is a great idea actually.

Now, I’ll look into type and talk software.

  5. Sorry I missed this. I’ve been up to my eyeballs juggling my own s***.

Coffee, I am not surprised. All blogs evolve. All bloggers evolve. And, you are more of a microphone type. You like the spontaneous conversation.

As long as the podcasts are 20-30 min., I’m good. You get to an hour, 1 1/2, 2 hours, I get interruptions, then lose my place.

    Go have your fun.

  6. Sheesh! I’m just seeing this now. I’ve been inactive for a while. Still tryna catch up on old posts.

I’ll be frank with you — I saw this coming. I just knew that this day would come. I LOVE your writing. I’ll miss it.

Hope you return to writing soon. Take care!

You and Racquel say that you knew I would quit eventually. Why is that? What have you that inclination?
