Solidarity Blogger Award 2

Thanks Rory from over @ A Guy Called Bloke, for nominating me for the Solidarity Blogger Award 2.

Solidarity Blogger Award

SIWO (Success Inspirers’ World) is an International Friends Blogging Forum. The idea is to encourage team work and to blog together as a community. As an international friends blogging forum, Success Inspirer’s World provides an opportunity that every blogger is looking for – the opportunity to get more exposure and find more followers and readers.

What is solidarity in layman’s terms? Harmony? Unity? A common agreement perhaps? A shared interest between parties? A supporting role with regards others who share the same interests then? Solidarity means different things to different peoples. But what does solidarity mean to me more to the point?

To me Solidarity means…I have to think about this one, since I’ve never really considered myself as a person who treasures or even aspires to solidarity. I don’t know if another award has ever been this challenging, to be honest.

Hmmm, well, solidarity in the realm of mutual respect for each to act in their own best interests is how solidarity would inspire me. Not a chorus line, rather competing ideas and thoughts all gathered round a table, attempting to discuss what is and what isn’t. So, in that sense, then I can appreciate solidarity.

Award Guidance:

1. Write a post on your blog thanking the person who gifted you the award.
2. Paste the award in the post.
3. Provide a link to the blog of the person who gifted you.
4. Tell Success Inspirers’ World,
SIWO what you think about solidarity blogging. Is it worthwhile?
5. Gift 3 bloggers for the award and inform them.

My Nominees are:

Racquel from over @ Racquel Writes

Rue from over @ Racheal Novel

Victoria from over @ Cosmic Observation

  1. Congratulations. What you are doing is towards the solidarity of the blogging family. It would not mean that we all have the same point of view or we sing the same song. It means that we support each other in being their individual selves.

  2. The reason l gifted you Poddy is because of the very nature of what you are doing, and what you are hoping to do as well as the potential of what you can become if you allow yourself to do so.

I am somewhat surprised at your ‘I’ve never really considered myself as a person who treasures or even aspires to solidarity’ – because the podcasting is the very symbiotic nature to community and solidarity.

Wow Rory, I never even put the two together. I just really enjoy talking with other people. But now that you put it like that, it actually makes sense!

Please excuse my ignorance from time to time Rory, but this is why I enjoy talking with so many others. The different aspects, help me to see things, I wouldn’t on my own.

BTW, are we still on for tomorrow?

  4. Congrats and thanks for nominating me! What you do is solidarity. You engage and talk to the readers and when you get into an argument or disagreement about something, you don’t get pushy or rude, you are polite, and make the disagreement an enjoyable and fun conversation.
This certainly looks to be a challenging award to do.
