      Yeah man, it’s a natural phenomenon. I can’t stand how I sound.

From where I was sitting, you sounded perfect Kristian.

It was such a great time. Thank you again so very much!

  1. That was so much fun! I cackled like a chicken when you asked ‘what are chickens’?! You dope!
Kristian I love the inflections in your speech, your enthusiasm and knowledge is very apparent and you’re easy to listen to. I was quite disappointed when it finished – which you’re all too familiar with due to my demands for stories!
We need a priest hole in a story – maybe the school series? You know it isn’t a comment from me without a request for more 😊

LOL, I wasn’t sure if chickens were some sort of English slang.

It was such fun. Kristian is such a knowledgeable man and quite entertaining.

      1. He really is, that was a great podcast. I’d love to hear him as a guest again. I also really enjoy the Tudor period so it was a lot of fun hearing him talk about it. I always think that was the dawn of England’s real glory. The colonisation of the New World. A Queen allowing huge steps forward for other women, a very exciting scientific period, Shakespeare and the School of the Night, Sir Francis Drake And England’s invincible Navy. Sir Walter Raleigh.. it’s a really colourful and progressive time. He knows his stuff and has really insightful comments on it. You need to talk to him about travel too! He’s amazing 😊

I don’t wanna be a cheap carbon copy of stern!!! LOL

If Kristian decided to go out on his own and start a program, without a doubt I would tune in. He’s got a lot of amazing things to say and talk about.

              1. Nope, you’re very different! He was just used as a recognisable example.
He also has a great voice but his show is more about him – when he forgets that he’s a great interviewer and can really draw people out.
You’re definitely more interested in finding what makes people tick so you do a great job of getting them to open up which makes it a lot of fun to listen to. We really get to know your guests.

That’s the thing Britchy. I could be wrong but look at social media, look at blogging, look at YouTube.

People just wanna be heard. For far too long we’ve been silenced and people just want to know that what they see others are seeing.

I truly believe there is power in giving voice to the people as individuals.

Besides, I love listening and learning from others much more than sitting in school or reading a book.

All of the knowledge is out there amongst all of us. All we have to do is pass the mic and the keyboard to them and let them say and express whatever they want.

Wow, I got really motivated there. I am truly passionate about this though. I want to hear from as many people as I can.

                  1. I’ve told Rory at a Guy Called Bloke to contact you to. He’s a very prolific blogger with a large and loyal following who would all (me included) be fascinated to hear him. I’m just going to start directing traffic lol

Thank you so much Theresaly. It was an absolutely marvelous time. Kristian is such a pleasure to talk with.

          1. The thought of being on a podcast intrigues me, but I’m worried I’ll get flustered and stop mid thought! I have a strange habit where I don’t complete my sentences because another incoming thought collides with it….. Still this experience would help me prepare for digital interviews… Maybe someday… 🙂

  3. Well, this was a very interesting conversation!! I already knew Kristian a little, but it was so nice to finally hear his voice 🙂 I really like how you conduct the interview, and I will check out other of your podcasts for sure! Thank you for sharing this, it was a great 38 mins spent with the two of you 🙂

  4. Kristian, I didn’t realize that you were English. Cool accent and voice.
Yes, 007, chickens as in animals, not the chickens you were probably thinking of…
I think that’s cool that you keep chickens, mate. Awesome. You are very knowledgeable.
    Creative Writing Course? What’s that?
I like all your stories that I’ve read.
I had been interested in trying the daily word prompt, but at the time I had been writing other stories, so decided to leave it and haven’t gotten around to trying it out, so the “Tell the Story” challenges are the first time I have participated in an online writing challenge.
That’s interesting about how the spelling of your name came about. My father decided to spell my name different to the traditional spelling as well.
    History? Ugh!
That’s would be so cool to go around visiting castles and such. I’d love to visit a castle. As well as dressing up and reenactments. Your job sounds awesome.
I didn’t realize Henry 8th only killed two of his wives.
You’re right – justice isn’t always far. Sometimes biased.
That is some fascinating English history. You could write some stories with that history.
History always repeats itself – so very true. My mother says that the first thing she learnt in Year 8 is that history NEVER repeats itself. Ha.
Man, Kristian, you sound like my brother jmshistorycorner. He’s a history freak. He analysis’s things for himself as well. You two would have a good conversation.
Just a thought, maybe you are into history because it’s what you are meant to do.
007, if you wanna’ know about history, contact J-M.
I can’t remember who said that saying about doomed to repeat it, either.
Yeah, history teaches us. It is important. I guess.
Heck, yeah, 007, I am enjoying this!
I hope you get better, Kristian.
That’s interesting about Japan. I had no idea.
On the topic of slavery, there is a good movie called “Amazing Grace” directed or produced by Michael Apted that is about the abolishment of slavery and why each side felt the way they did and the arguments for and against slavery.
It is terrible how people hate others for a differing opinion. That has happened to one of my brothers on Twitter who is being called a bot, etc., for questioning something. Stupid, really. They forget that we are allowed a freedom of speech which goes hand in hand with the freedom to express their own opinions and question things and express a differing view. Otherwise, what’s the point in a conversation?
I really enjoyed that. It was awesome listening to you guys. Love your sponsor – ha ha. Great podcast. Please come on again Kristian (but only if you want to).

    1. bottomlesscoffee007

Rue, holy crap girl. Talk about detail. Thank you so very much. I wanna get you on and JM as well again.

I have reached out to a friend to set up another Skype account for me. I think my IP address is what is keeping me out!

      1. Well, as long as we just have a conversation about anything, I’ll probably do it. I ain’t planning a topic ever again. I hope you get Skype up again.

          1. Considering my second attempt at doing another podcast with you and how mechanical I was with the topic, I think it would be easier just to have a conversation. Unless you have a topic.

  5. Loved this so much!
I am still cooking away, but wanted to just lollop on the sofa with a hot cocoa and listen to you and Kristian talk about history.
He is such a lovely man! So glad he did this. I was a bit worried that at times it sounded as if he was choking to death in the background – poor guy!

I have to say, all the bloggers I have listened to so far have great voices. I feel your podcasts are going to make a big wave in the blogging world.

    1. bottomlesscoffee007

Thank you so very much Mel. Everyone has been so very interesting and entertaining. I hope no one else starts a podcast though, I want em all to myself!!!LOL Seriously though, all of the creativity and insight, every single blogger could do their own podcast and be highly successful. Such an eclectic group of interesting and introspective people!!!

      1. It would be a bit difficult right now as I am pretty tied up with my schedule. But maybe in a couple of months? I am flattered by your offer. Thanks

            1. bottomlesscoffee007

Thank you Sadje. I think “The Voice Behind the Keyboard, Tidepodcast” really compliments each Blogger so very well. It adds a dimension to their writing I believe.
