I have heard many say that confirmation bias is prevalent today. The most frequent aspect of confirmation bias that I hear is:
“Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one’s preexisting beliefs. People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret presented information in a biased way. This becomes stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs”.
Hmmm, you don’t say?
If someone says that to you, does that mean they are losing the argument? Or, does it mean, that an agreement will never be established?
In any regard, what is the purpose for bringing up this random point of view?
